Start with the experience.

For a night under the winter sky, choose the Aurora Evening: a private camp, a hot-tent dinner and time to look for the northern lights. For a forest walk and a meal afterwards, choose Snowshoe & Campfire. Both welcome private groups of up to four, subject to suitability and vehicle capacity.

• Aurora Evening: 4–4.5 hours; camp dining and aurora watching.
• Snowshoe & Campfire: 3–4 hours; guided forest trails and a hot-tent meal.
• Winter Overnight: an 18-hour basecamp stay for a maximum of two; next-day snowshoeing on request.

Pickup and camp are different places.

Levi and Ylläs are pickup areas, not separate Kettura camps. Your outing takes place at our private Vaattojärvi site in Kolari. Rovaniemi and Kittilä pickups can also be discussed. Share your actual accommodation address so your host can confirm the route and meeting time.

Keep other plans flexible until the itinerary is agreed. Tell us about dinner reservations, onward travel or an early start the next day. The same applies to children’s ages and luggage: these affect the vehicle arrangement, rather than being details to leave until pickup.

Choose what suits your group.

Snowshoe walking distance and pace are agreed for the group and snow conditions. Mention walking experience, children or mobility needs when you enquire. The overnight has a firm two-guest limit; tent space and sleeping suitability are discussed before booking.

For the standalone snowmobile tour, one or two guests use one guest machine. Three or four guests need a personal quote, as does pickup. The same tour can be added to an overnight at a reduced rate, with timing agreed alongside any requested snowshoeing.

Leave room for the forecast.

The 2026–2027 season runs from 1 December to 31 March. We review weather hourly and discuss conditions with you. If poor weather threatens the enjoyment or quality of the experience, choose to rebook or cancel before departure for a full refund, including your deposit.

For aurora, a forecast is guidance rather than a promise. The evening is centred on a fixed hot-tent camp, not an unlimited road chase. If you complete the standalone Aurora Evening and no aurora is seen, the separate 30% refund applies.

Send the details once.

An enquiry gives your host the information needed to check the date and plan the outing. It is not an instant reservation. Once the arrangements are confirmed, a 25% deposit secures the date, with the balance due seven days before departure; bookings within seven days are paid in full.
