Our aurora evening, snowshoe outing and winter overnight take place at Vaattojärvi in Kolari. The quiet forest site is reserved for your group and sits away from resort lighting. Levi and Ylläs are pickup areas; we do not have a separate wilderness camp in each resort. Your host confirms the meeting point and private-site address before booking.
For the 1 December 2026 to 31 March 2027 season, the journey is planned around your selected outing, date and actual accommodation address. Pickup is included on the confirmed routes for these camp experiences. Standalone snowmobile pickup has separate arrangements.
If you are staying in Levi.
Give us the name and full address of your cabin or hotel in Levi. Accommodation is spread across the area, so the name of the resort alone does not establish the meeting place or departure time. Mention any access instructions your accommodation has provided.
Tell us whether you need to be back for a restaurant reservation, another activity or onward travel. We agree pickup and the return plan with you before the booking is confirmed. A date on the calendar is an invitation to enquire, not a promise that every pickup route is available that day.
If you are staying in Ylläs.
Send your cabin or hotel address and the village where you are staying. For guests in our own Ylläsjärvi cabins, select Own Cabin Guest in the enquiry form and identify the property. Other cabins and hotels can be considered once we have the actual address.
The snowshoe walk and hot-tent evening both happen at Vaattojärvi, after the agreed journey from your accommodation. If you plan to meet us at basecamp instead, ask your host to confirm that arrangement and the private meeting location.
Agree the whole journey, not just the start time.
Winter road conditions, your address and the chosen outing affect the complete schedule. Treat the advertised activity duration as part of the planning conversation: ask your host to confirm your pickup time, camp time and return time together. We do not promise a single drive time for every address or every winter day.
The overnight basecamp stay runs from 16:00 to 10:00. Requested next-day snowshoeing or a snowmobile add-on needs to fit around the return journey. Mention flights, trains and any other fixed commitments before confirming those extras.
Four seats means planning the bags too.
Our private groups have a maximum of four guests, subject to registered seating, suitable child restraints, payload and luggage. The overnight is limited to two guests. Passenger numbers alone do not confirm how much equipment or baggage can travel.
- Give the total number of guests and every child’s age.
- List the number and size of bags, including skis or other large equipment.
- Mention mobility needs and any concern about getting into the vehicle or moving around camp.
- Confirm food allergies and dietary needs when arranging a camp meal.
Airport arrival is a different journey.
Arctic Introduction collects you from Rovaniemi Airport or Kittilä Airport and takes you to your confirmed Lapland accommodation. It is not a tour pickup to Vaattojärvi. A forest welcome can be added to the agreed arrival route when timing and weather allow.
For an airport arrival, send your flight details, destination address, luggage and children’s ages so the route and fixed group quote can be confirmed. If you also want a camp outing during your stay, request it separately.
Keep the weather part of the plan.
We monitor weather hourly and discuss the outlook with you. If bad weather threatens the enjoyment or quality of your booked experience, you can rebook or cancel before departure for a full refund, including your deposit. The conversation can continue on the day; roads and camp conditions still have to be suitable.
Send your chosen experience, preferred and backup dates, party size and accommodation area to start the enquiry. Your host then confirms the practical details personally.
